Original Yacht Dice Game is a cool dice game that is not dissimilar to Yahtzee. Roll five dice fifteen times to score as many points as you can making different combinations. It’s relatively easy to play and the game boasts a variety of modes. If you’re a fan of table games, this might be one you want to take a look at.

Pros & Cons:
Pros
- Quite easy to play!
- Lots of modes to choose from!
- Fun casual gameplay!
- Scoreloop social scoring: achievements and challenges!
Cons
- The ‘Roll’ button is right above the ad banner… Be careful not to hit it.
Features:
Original Yacht Dice Game is a fun and engaging dice game for your Android device. To get the highest score possible you have to fill all the spaces with the best scores possible. You can then share your score and complete achievements and challenges via Scoreloop. It’s simple to play, just tap the ‘Roll’ button to roll all 5 dice, then select those which meet the requirements.
You essentially need to fill all the spaces above: 2 Pair, 3 Pair, 4 of a kind, Full House, 3x, 4x and 5x Straights, Chance and 5 of a Kind. Each scores certain points, often meaning the higher the score selected, the better your overall score. It’s quite simple to play, but there are also some great instructions included in the game, which can be found in the main menu.
Now and again I get a mild addiction to dice games like Farkle, and found this just as gripping. I guess you need to see the appeal of table games to want to play, but if it’s your thing, this is pretty good. The addition of Scoreloop is great too- there are achievements and challenges included in the game and these can be done through the online scoring system.
Previous versions of the game included an ad-banner which covered the bottom half of the ‘Roll’ button, which didn’t look great. Thankfully, that issue has been smartly resolved and the app now looks- by all accounts- pretty good.

Fun Factor:
The game is loads of fun, if you enjoy such games anyway. I don’t think there is anything here to draw gamers to the genre, but it’s slick, fast, responsive, comes with a host of different modes and incorporates online scoring as well. If you like dice games, this is great.
Addictive:
Because it’s casual, easy to play and requires an element of strategy to get the highest scores, there’s definitely something about the game that keeps you playing it over and over.
Graphics:
The graphics, to be fair, are pretty basic and certainly nothing to get too excited about. The visual element of the game is at least clear and colourful. Now the ‘Roll’ button issue is resolved, the visual element of gameplay is unhindered by ads and looks great.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
There are various sound effects in the game, basic ‘beeps’ and ‘tings’ which represent scores, etc.
