The OpenIntents Shopping list lets you keep track of your shopping items. You can also use it for other kinds of check lists, for example for ToDo lists or party guest lists.

OI Shopping List Android App functions great as a shopping list reminder or to-do list. It features a few background themes, you add, edit, check of items from your list, add, edit and send lists. Easily sort out checked off items. You can apply Price (with total) and Tags to items, yet it’s done in a separate action after entering items… longpress the item to access the Price/Tags menu.
You can add extensions to the core app downloadable via the Market or developers’ website. A few are OI Convert CSV, and OI Voice Notes:
OI Convert CSV is an extension to OI applications: Import/Export of notes in Palm CSV format, and shopping lists in Outlook task .CSV format to SD card. Useful for importing/exporting lists from Android phone to desktop applications and vice-versa.
OI Voice Notes is an extension for OI Notepad and OI Shopping list. Record, play voice memo attached to a note or shopping list. Not the greatest as the recordings are not listed with your written items, yet accessible in a separate menu… using the Android Voice Recorder and Media Player to record/listen.
Gripe alert: OI Shopping List does not make use of Android Notifications.
Every busy person needs a to-do list of sorts, and OI Shopping can be used for those purposes or ditch the pen and pad and use this app while shopping.
The app is straight-forward and easy to use.
Frequency of use is user dependent.
The addition of themes spices up the user interface.

Like the app. My suggestions
1. I use tags to show aisle number and sort by it. For aisle numbers over 9 I use A10….F15 to ensure sort keeps items in aisle order. It would be useful to have a specific field for aisle number. (See Palm app HandyShopper)
2. Tag takes up another row, would be better as column
3. Need Search capability on Pick list to quickly find item to then add. (See HandyShopper on Palm)
‘Classic’ style is very nicely designed. The app would be perfect if it were possible to email shopping list to phone. (similar to ‘You’ve Got Shopping’).
I can’t get it to show tags or quantity (or enter these). How do you do it? Thanks!
Steve, you just long-press on the item and then select “Edit”
