Official Facebook Android App Finally Available!

Got a tip from a user that the official Facebook app for Android called Facebook for Android™ was available. Of course we’ll be evaluating it and writing up a full review. Initially I do notice it uses:

Live Folders
Has an Android Widget with quick link to open full app (Wall entries)
Likes and Wall Comments are available
It’s speedy

Yet it’s missing:

Inbox (actually there’s a loop hole to get to it via checking Friends Profile… see small link to Inbox. Of course the Mobile Facebook app displays as referred to my rant on Babbler Android App Review)
Can’t view friends or your photo gallery

However is does concern me that the Facebook page says “This application was not developed by Facebook”. Check out the demo video, Download it using the QR Code we’ve provided above. What do you guys think… post in the Comments Below!

My early thoughts… top Android Facebook apps like Babbler and Bloo and still good contenders!

Hi,

Yes – as the facebook profile say for the video, this app is not created by Facebook… so it is just another attempt. I am not happy though to give 3rd party people my username and password, so I guess that I am waiting againg on the official version.

Hm, it doesn’t seem as good as the usual site that loads when I use android at http://x.facebook.com. What am I gaining with this?
