Features:

Nru Android App is a nifty and useful restaurant guide integrated with Zagat and lastminute.com. When you launch the app, it displays a funky compass with restaurants, nightspots, or shopping destinations nearest your location. Simply tapp on one and it presents a wealth of information plus features to help with the eatery. Features such as address, hours of operation, phone number, SMS Text to a Friend, Find Nearby, photos*, Click to Reserve a table*, and Zagat ratings & reviews requires a login (* if available).

In addition to finding Restaurants, nru Android App can also be used to find “Nightspots” and “Shopping destinations” near you. You can use the compass lying flat (0 degrees) or holding it straight up (90 degrees); similar to how you use Google Compass mode for StreetView on Android phones.

Gripe Alert: the restaurant/nightspot/shopping database seems not to be vast depending on your location. In our evaluation of the app, the compass did not stop moving nor locked on directions at times. On other tests, it would lock but be a directional quadrant off, accuracy is vital for tourists. The compass seems to be a tad jerky too.

Nru Android App is very useful for near location and on-demand restaurant recommendations or the Zagat reviews available on listing.

Ease of Use:

Nru Android App has some user experience and usability issues with the compass. Past that, once you get to the Zagat information… it’s straight-forward.

Frequency of use is user dependant.

Interface:

The user interface on the compass can be a bit overwhelming at first glance and instincts force you to want to pin-point listing that may be bunched together… simply tapp the general area and list appears for you to filter.
