  1. DJDeficit says:

I’m a huge NPR fan and was initially disappointed when going from iPhone to Android that there was’t an official NPR app (with streaming). This fills in a huge Android hole for me.

The only problem with the app is that it doesn’t have a “favorites” or save option for streams and/or podcasts you listen to frequently. So everytime I want to listen to my local NPR station, I need to search by location or call numbers, which takes a few extra moments. A saved list would make this even better.

Is there something special that I need to stream from NPR or the local station once I have the app installed? This was one of the first apps I downloaded, and once I boot it up, the player feature doesn’t do anything. The local station’s website indicates I need Flash to run their stream, but even when I tried to listen to content from NPR.org, again the player shows up at the bottom of my screen but nothing plays. Any thoughts?

  3. NPR News is a favorite! I can add to my playlist and share stories and podcasts with my friends….so easy to use.
