Nonomatic is nonogram game for Android. OK, so what’s a nonogram I hear you ask? A nonogram is a kind of logic puzzle where grid cells are filled to create a pictures or words. If you were to blend Minesweeper and Sudoku with paint-by-number art, you’d be pretty close.

Features:
Nonomatic is a cool nonogram or picross logic game for your Android device. You are essentially presented with grids of 5×5, 101×10, 15×15 and 20×20 with numbered clues around the outside. These indicate how many of the grid cells in that row or column are filled in. The number 3 represents a line of 3 coloured cells, 1 would indicate firstly a line of 3, then an individual cell needs to be filled in. These coloured-in cells eventually create a picture of some form. Obviously the bigger the grid the more complex the picture and the trickier it is to solve.
Nonomatic is pure logic puzzling at its best. It’s very straightforward to begin with but it gets significantly trickier when the grid size gets bigger. It’s very relaxing to play and there’s real satisfaction in completing the puzzle. If you’re good and think you might be among the fastest to solve a puzzle, you can log into the service and post your times onto a leaderboard.
The graphics are very simplistic but still very smooth and responsive. Some gamers demand the earth for super-graphics but those contained here, while minimalist, are effective and perfect for the game. I found the game to be very engrossing and easily lost a lot of time working through the puzzles. There are 50 contained within the game, plus more added every month.
If you enjoy brain and puzzle games from the Google Play Store, be certain to check out Nonomatic. It lacks some options, like perhaps a pass-and-play multiplayer version of the game. It also lacks any sound. Now for some who prefer their gaming exploits to be silent this is fine, but some people might prefer a little beep here and there, or even a reassuring haptic feedback here or there. These are certainly no big deal though and the game is still very playable and captivating as it is.

Fun Factor:
If you enjoy logic and number puzzles, you will find Nonomatic enjoyable, engaging and lots of fun. Because, to me anyway, it combines elements of things like Sudoku and the legendary Minesweeper, the gameplay is quite familiar so it’s simple to get into.
Addictive:
Highly! It’s perfect for playing on the go and, if you’re good at it, maybe you will want to see how you fare against players from around the world in the global scoreboards?
Graphics:
The graphics, while a basic two tone design are responsive and polished. This might not enthrall gamers who demand jaw-dropping visuals to be entertained, but those here are perfect for the game.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
The game features none of these. I think it could perhaps do with some vibration and perhaps a little sound, but this doesn’t detract too much from the gameplay.
