I grew up playing Nintendo and loved BASEBALL STARS, Punchout, RadRacer, excitebike, zelda... summers were the best...No work...Just PLAY!!! 15 years later, i still Play. Nesoid is good, but i ran into a lot of games reacting slow...

SOLUTION: ggNES (ggNES Lite is free but has admob ads) but try it out.. then pay... we got to support the developers for the hard work. The games run smooth and i rarely have to turn off the sound to make my games run smoothly...

2stars** try ggNES

T-Mobile reps and the leaked manual confirm the myTouch will be able to do it, and I assume the Samsung i7500 will be able to as well.

And yeah, it is impractical, but proves it won't be impossible.

@ Andrex
Have you tried this in Nesoid? Nothing I do with the menu button on a G1 has that effect. You just get the Nesoid menu. That trick only works in text editors as far as I can tell. Even if it worked, it would be completely impractical :o/

Even if you have a non-keyboard Android phone, you can long press the menu button to force the keyboard to come up, and play that way.

Though I think in that case it would be covering most of the screen...

Fighting games are always going to be a challenge, I think, with or without the trackball. It's ok for stuff like Zelda but I still think it's a *lot* easier with the keyboard if you have one.

Try NES Tennis though. Seriously.

This would be worth it if the trackball could be mapped to be the joystick. After a few minutes I gave up playing street fighter because my fingers, as large as they are, are unable to work the fine controls.

I look forward to an update of this application.
