My Photo Sticker – create cute stickers on pics, ideal for your daughter’s phone
Apr 25, 2013 9:30 AM –
My Photo Sticker is a simple and pretty application that lets you add cute stickers to your photos. It’s colourful, easy to use and lets you share your created canvas wherever you like. While the pictures might make the app popular only with fans of the sugariest and cutest of imagery, the effects work well, regardless if your personal tastes.
Price: Free plus In-app Purchase
Tested on: Nexus 4
Pros & Cons:
- Easy to use!
- Lots of stickers to choose from!
- Easy to share from in the app!
- Stickers limited unless you make an in-app purchase.
- Error messages when you try to make in-app purchase.
- Crashes when you try to import picture (see below for info).
In a Google Play Store where photo editing is pretty much one of the most popular types of apps available, it’s unusual to find something different. My Photo Sticker however, offers a wide range of colourful and cute stickers to add to your pics in an easy-to use interface. It’s child’s play to use, which is good as I tend to think this is an app aimed at kids.
In total, there are over 500 stickers to choose from and these range from borders, characters, simple icons and letters. To add them, you simply bring up a tab and select a sticker. These can then be moved about and placed, it even lets you resize the stickers and your main image. You can then save or share your completed piece as much as you like.
Now, the number of stickers you can use is very limited and the app will prompt you to make in-app purchases when you select a non-free one. When I have tried to access the download- even if just to see how much was being asked for- I receive and error message which renders me unable. There is no paid-for app in the Google Play Store so it limits the potential of the app.
I think the app is cute and I can see children really liking some of the designs, but I think it’s a little audacious to ask users to pay for such a simplistic and feature-lite app (remember, it’s just a set of stickers).
One additional word of warning. If your device supports a gallery which displays cloud-saved images (such as Nexus deices which show you uploaded pictures and Picasa saved photos), don’t select a cloud-based picture as it crashes the app outright.

If you need to brighten up your selfies, this is pretty sweet. Too sweet for some, but fans of bunnies, smiles, unicorns, rainbows and stars will enjoy.
Ease of Use:
The app is incredibly simple to use. Just take or choose a picture from your gallery, select a sticker tab, select an sticker, pinch to make bigger or smaller and tap to place. It probably couldn’t be easier.
There are plenty of little stickers to choose from so it depends very much on the user how often the app is used. Remember though, the app is limited unless you make the in-app purchase, which didn’t work at all for me personally.
The interface is bright and colourful is cute pastel colours. It’s heavily themed and might not be to everyone’s tastes, but the style is consistent and of nice quality.
