This will be the new vogue question among those prosumers this holiday season if purchasing the Samsung Galaxy Camera, available November 16th for $499.99 on AT&T. Think of it as a beefed up 16-megapixel point & shoot (though capable of advanced shooting with access to change shutter speed, ISO, and aperture) camera that married the Galaxy S3. Of course it has apps, and access to Google Play to download even more. Plus it features core apps to allow for shooting, editing and uploading to social networks without connecting to a computer over WiFi or data plan. The Galaxy Camera features a 4.8-inch HD Super Clear LCD screen, 21x optical zoom lens, run by a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor (see benchmarks of what a quadie could get you regarding performance), and powered by near latest and greatest Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
The Galaxy Camera will have access to AT&T Locker, a cloud storage service for syncing and sharing pics, vids and docs, for free. Below are a list of data plan options you can purchase and share among multiple devices if you so choose:
- AT&T Mobile Share: $10 to share between 1 GB and 20GB
- AT&T DataConnect 250MB: $15 for 250MB
- AT&T DataConnect 3GB: $30 for 3GB
- AT&T DataConnect 5GB: $50 for 5GB
Price: $499.99
Carrier: AT&T
