My Christmas Wonderland is a lively, festive live wallpaper for your Android device. The app features a number of interactive effects and some cool settings to alter the way the wallpaper behaves. So, if you’re already gearing up your home for the festivities, why not gear up your homescreen?

Features:
My Christmas Wonderland is a fun Xmas wallpaper app that brings a festive spin to your Android homescreen. The wallpaper includes various bold images and is incredibly colourful and active. Unlike many other live wallpapers, the app includes a number of interactive effects (over 40 in total) that respond to where you touch the screen. These include: fireworks, stars, snow, clouds, the sun and moon and rotating buildings. There’s loads to discover, but it’s like being able to open your advent calendar all at once!
The wallpaper is incredibly lively- with stacks of animation. Most notably you get a little little Santa driving by in his sleigh and a large Christmas tree full of different effects. One of my favourite features was the ability to sync the wallpaper by day/night in real time. So, the wallpaper gets dark at night time and is light during the day, based on your internal Android clock.

There’s lots to love with this wallpaper and I’m sure excited children and adults will both like it, but I couldn’t help but notice that the animation- regardless of the speeds set- doesn’t feel very smooth. The animation is more than a little choppy (similar to developer’s other recently reviewed My Little Town live wallpaper) and the app is no where near as smooth as many other live wallpapers.
The wallpaper is quite distinct and, while it features plenty of customisation and control, it really isn’t going to suit everyone. It might also be an app you quickly tire of once Christmas is over. That said, it is a fun app to try and discover all the animations and perfect if you want to bring the holidays to your homescreen.

Usefulness:
If you want your homescreen to extend your excitement of Christmas and the holiday period, this is definitely an app to try. The app is rich with animation and there are more than 40 effects to find by touching your screen.
Ease of Use:
Like most live wallpapers, you access it either by your app draw or by the live wallpaper gallery. Once the app opens you can adjust the various customisations before hitting ‘set wallpaper’ to launch it as your homescreen background. It’s very easy to use and highly intuitive.
Frequently Used:
The app runs in the background when your screen is on. While it might only last your main wallpaper until after Christmas is over, it might be something you dust off once a year along with your real decorations!
Interface:
The menu system is standard Android fare. The wallpaper itself suffers quite terribly from choppy animation- it’s not very smooth at all. While the interactive effects add a novelty, you’ll have see around this issue to enjoy the app.
