Munch Time is a platform-based physics puzzler that looks superb, is easy to play and is massively addictive. Quite similar to games like Cut the Rope and Treemaker (perhaps even a blend of both), Munch Time will delight fans of the genre and become the next big addiction for many.

Features:
Munch Time is just lovely. So lovely in fact, I’m not quite sure where to start. Perhaps let’s begin with controls. You control a cool little chameleon called Munch, who is very hungry. Your job is to guide him to his meal- a chunky little grub! Munch can be moved along the platform he is on my touching where you want him to go and, using his long elastic tongue, he can swing from flower to flower. Swinging, and leaping from flower to flower in this way creates the possibility of lots of moves and actions. Flowers come in different colours and with different behaviours. For example, some will allow Munch to swing around and around to build momentum. The different coloured flowers can only be swung on when Munch is of matching colour, and moving over the right colour hover-fly helps you do this. Gameplay gets more diverse and complex as you progress and levels get trickier- requiring patience, a bit of luck and strategy.
The graphics are bright, cartoony and reminiscent of games like Cut The Rope; very slick, well designed and lots of visually engaging fun. There are various quirks and animations which make the game come alive even more, such as when Munch drops from a great height, rolls, leaves a flower and, of course, when he gobbles down his lunch nom nom nom! This is all complimented supremely by the rich sound. There’s a fun little musical track that never gets annoying and plenty of sound effects throughout.
There are loads and loads of levels too, typical of the ‘collect-three-stars’ genre of physics puzzlers you accumulate points by collecting the stars and finishing levels as fast as you can. The fiendishness of some levels are truly boggling, the design and intelligence behind them is just awesome. This gives the game a huge amount of longevity, meaning you’ll be playing this for months to come quite probably.
Some people may point out that the game is not particularly original. It’s different for sure, but it feels much like Cut The Rope in design and Treemaker in terms of ‘swinging’ gameplay. I don’t think this matters significantly, in fact it makes gameplay automatically familiar, engaging and fun. So, if you’ve played Angry Birds to death or Cut the Rope a bit too much and need a new addictive fix, look no further than Munch Time. It’s fun, engaging, quirky, cute and insanely addictive.

Fun Factor:
Loads of fun. Every so often a new flower will be included in the level, or a new obstacle. The good timing required, Munch’s subsequent acrobatics and the rewarding nom nom nom when he finally gets the grub is as rewarding as you can get for these kind of games.
Addictive:
After playing the very first level I felt this was going to be extremely hard for me to put down. It’s taking up every ounce of my willpower to write this, knowing I could be playing the game right now.
With lots of levels and environments, different flowers and obstacles, there is more than enough here to indulge your addiction.
Graphics:
The graphics are cute, 2D, bright and very polished. With the same polish and refinement of Cut The Rope, it looks great and is fun to play. Menus are responsive and slick, which add to an immesive and captivating experience all round.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
The sound; a quaint musical score behind a series of funny little sound effects is perfect for the game and as good as you’ll hear anywhere else in the Google Play Store.
