Meet HAPIfork, a radical but cool idea of a fork that has food consumption monitoring capabilities along with companion coaching app for iOS to curb overeating (Android coming soon). The fork measures three core signals; the meal duration, the number of bites, and the time interval between servings (eat too fat and you get a gentle vibration suggesting you slow down). HAPIfork creators believe that eating slower with encourage better eating habits. The fork will come with online dashboard to track meals, a gamification aspect to education youth about healthier eating. It is dishwasher safe granted you remove the electronic mechanism stored in the base of it. Its suggested MSRP price is $99 and should be available next April. Thoughts… would you buy it?
