M.U.S.E. is an immersive 3D action game where you take the role of “bad ass” government agent Sid Tripp (not as macho a name as Contract Killer 2‘s Jack Griffin but still pretty hardcore!), and you’re tasked to take down an aggressively psychotic cyborg army. Battle your way through lush and detailed 3D environments, use an assortment of powerful weapons and, of course, save the world.

Features:
M.U.S.E. is a gorgeous third-person action shooter with slick 3D graphics, masses of weapons enemies, levels and destruction. If you like your visuals top notch and game-play an adrenaline-fueled survival fest, this will be right up your street. You are a government agent who single-handily needs to take down an invading force of cyborg soldiers.
If you’ve played games like the aforementioned Contract Killer games, or the fantastic SHADOWGUN titles, gameplay will feel quite familiar. It’s a console-quality, action packed shooter where it feels like you’re taking on the world. The environments are extremely volatile and you’re required to take cover behind cars, barriers and more. The shooting control is highly intuitive and will auto-track enemies for a few yards, which helps taking them out to no end.

M.U.S.E. – 3D graphics are immersive and atmospheric
The shooting controls aside, it’s not a wholly simple game to control and it takes a little practice. This can be rewarding, but it’s like taking the PlayStation or XBox controllers to touch-screen, you’re going to have omissions or need gesture-based movements which are not as user-friendly as with a full controller.
This perhaps contributes somewhat to what feels like a very steep learning curve and you really do have to battle with both cyborgs and controls to make the most out of the game initially. While this is rewarding in the long term, you do need a little patience as it is not immediately intuitive to control as some games can be.

Fun Factor:
If your idea of fun is mindlessly destroying multiple baddies lone wolf style, this will suit you down to the ground. You do need a little patience to get used to the controls but, once you have, it’s a riotous blast of excellent 3D action.
Addictive:
If you get over the initial control frustrations, this can be as addictive as any other shooter.
Graphics:
The graphics are exceptional and superbly designed. There is richness and depth in the environments and animations. This creates an almost combustible atmosphere that is hugely immersive and almost tangible. All this visual goodness is buttery smooth and beautifully rendered.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
There are effects aplenty and a dangerously apocalyptic music track that stomps through gameplay and compliments the experience well.
