LG Optimus Pad. LG steps into the tablet wars with their 8.9-inch Android tablet featuring Google’s new tablet optimized OS Honeycomb. Powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 dual core 1GHz mobile processor. This tablet is capable of shooting 1080p Full HD 2D video or 720p HD 3D video, however, unlike the LG Optimus 3D it cannot shoot 3D stills nor can you view 3D glasses-free. The Optimus Pad can stream video to 3D TVs using HDMI or on the web via YouTube 3D. The LG Optimus Pad will begin shipping in local markets starting in March. Look for the Optimus Pad to be dubbed the G-Slate on T-Mobile with 4G mobile broadband speeds.
