Pros & Cons:
Pros
- Fun and addictive word finding game!
- A word game almost similar to Boggle but completely new and different twist on strategized scoring!
Cons
- UI could use some tweaks.
Features:
You may remember Lexathon Word Jumble by its former name “Jumblee Words”? Lexathon is a word puzzle game where you descramble from 9 letters in a 3×3 grid in 60 seconds. Though you can turn the timer off if you want to play more relaxed games. Almost similar to Boggle but different as the trick is that you must use the center letter, in addition letters do not have to be connected, and words must have a minimum 4 letters. While playing if you get stumped you can shake your phone to scramble the letters in hopes of seeing more words. As you get words correct you are awarded points and time bonus. Scores are determined by both the percentage of words found and how quickly words are found. Giving up in this game is actually a strategy, because your points decrease as time ticks… so find as many words as you can, as fast as you can!
Words derive from the English dictionary and after a round you can tap on a word to get the definition if you find some words to be unfathomable. At the end of each round you get a summary of your scores including how many words found, the percentage of words found, average rate per minute and if you desire; post your scores to the global leaderboards via Scoreloop or even Facebook.
The app is free but driven by the type of ads we see in other popular free versions of games like Wordfeud, whereas, they’re full screen but can be dismissed by pressing the Menu button. These are in addition to the adverts on the lower portion of the screen. You can, however, grab the pro version via an in-app purchase if you desire.

Fun Factor:
Lexathon Word Jumble is a casual fun game that word gamers will adore.
Addictive:
It’s one of those games that can become addictive as it can be played in short spurts when in timed mode. It feeds off your own addiction to try to better you own scores, to find the 9 letter word, or to find all the words.
Graphics:
The graphics aren’t anything to write home about as they could certainly be improved, yet it offers a functional display for playing. For some, the text may be a bit tiny.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
Lexathon Word Jumble features a few sound effects for when you get words incorrect or correct plus a few other miscellaneous sounds, but if you’re like myself you’ll mute them in the settings menu.
