Let it Shop is an easy to use shopping assistant application that can help you keep track of your groceries and manage a budget. The app includes a slick user interface and customisable units. Whether you’re a student on a limited budget or a parent that has to run a busy household, Let it Shop is a useful and functional little app that should make things easier.

Pros & Cons:
Pros
- Great user interface!
- Multiple lists!
- Practical and user-friendly!
Cons
- Lacks one or two features seen on similar apps.
Features:
OK so most people, especially right now as times are pretty tight financially for many, have to keep a far closer eye on their incomings and outgoings. Now, we all have to eat, so the shopping budget is central to your weekly/monthly expenses. Therefore it can be a challenge to keep track of how much money you’re spending on food. Additionally, staying organised and making sure you remember everything you and/or your family need at any given time can also be problematic. Sure we write lists but they don’t always last until shopping day.
Here’s where apps like Let It Shop can be incredibly handy. Not only can the app help you monitor the prices you are paying out for things, but you can add items to create lists. Also, say you’re doing an extra shop for a party (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.), the app lets you create additional and separate lists for those events. You can add prices of things too, so you can always know how much things cost and budget accordingly. One additionally helpful feature is the ability to add units, so you can compare the price per lb of fruit and vegetables in different stores, or per packet (and so on).
The app is very customisable so it makes it simple to build a list and track things over time. One thing I thought might have made it better would be the inclusion of a barcode scanner option. This would perhaps make it even simpler to add both items and units- just by scanning it. Such features are included in other shopping/grocery apps, most notably Out of Milk, which we reviewed a number of months ago. That said, I found the UI a much nicer experience in Let it Shop, so it clearly has both strengths and weaknesses.
As an app it is clearly a product in development and with other features on the way. These include the ability to group products and share the lists you create. I think if the developer was able to include a barcode scanner you would have a truly exceptional product that would be a must-have app for people who manage the regular food/grocery shop of their household.

Usefulness:
The app is built to be useful. Make lists, monitor prices of things and ensure you remember everything. The ability to make additional lists is great (you just have to swipe to one side so it’s incredibly simple). It goes under the skin of traditional paper shopping lists too as you can include measurement units and prices as you build the list.
Ease of Use:
The app is fantastically easy to use. Who wants something complex and hard to use when you’re trying to remember what you need to buy? One thing I should also mention is the predictive text element. When you begin to add an item it suggests what you might need to add- potentially saving you time in the process. If it just had that barcode scanner feature- which would make it even easier to use- it could become a genuine must-have app.
Frequently Used:
It’s certainly something you might use on a daily basis- certainly if you gradually build a list of items over a week. Beside all this, crossing things off on a smartphone is way cooler than having a tatty paper list!
Interface:
The interface is simple but elegant and features some nice transitions and rich animations. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into user experience and the app is a joy to make lists on.
