Cons

- Limited functionality.
- Often struggles to scan items.
Features:
Lemon Wallet aims to make your life easier. It’s essentially a virtual wallet that allows you to store information from all your cards and receipts in an easy fashion. In many ways it’s not dislike apps like SPB Wallet and Biowallet, although there is distinctly more focus on credit card details and receipts, rather than Internet passwords, security details and useful information.
You’re required to create an account when you start and then immediately begin adding cards and receipts via scanning or manually entering the information. Both ways seem to work OK, although I did find myself having to add details manually when they were not picked up in a scan. Adding receipts and other account info is quite intuitive too. I added a few different expenses, including one from Ebay- and it recognised this and added the Ebay logo in the receipt. If this was consistent (it didn’t show an Amazon logo when I entered an Amazon order I made for example) it could make your receipts come to life with colour and relevance. I found the app struggled at times to scan items, even clear ones scanned in good light, so I did find the experience to be a bit hit-and-miss.
The service also provides you with a free email address. This is quite curious, but if you’ve got emailed receipts, this is a great way to incorporate them into the service. Aside from the email and the ability to add cards and receipts in intuitive ways, there’s not much to the free app. The subscription service provides the ability to add more cards and receipts, share expenses with up to 5 people, fast processing, no ads (although I haven’t noticed any ads in the app anyway) and the ability to export to places like Evernote and Box.
The only problem with this I felt was, at either $99 per year or $9.99 per month, it’s very expensive for what it is. Are there going to be many people that splash out nearly £120 per year on such a basic service? It doesn’t include the ability to make payments, such as Google Wallet, nor is it able to store other, non-financial info- like passwords. Now, of course you don’t have to subscribe to the service if you don’t want to, but it’s even more limited if you don’t.

Usefulness:
Lemon Wallet is perhaps a great way to store and manage your financial information across both your Android device and online. The service is super secure too, so I think it’s genuinely safe to use, despite the sensitivity of the data it holds. That said I think the likes of SPB Wallet might be deemed ‘more’ useful due to the fact that such a variety of information can be stored.
Ease of Use:
The service is very easy to use. I didn’t find the scanning function to be as accurate as I would have preferred, but even entering information manually is very straightforward.
Frequently Used:
If used properly, it would be something you use every time you spend money, so quite regularly.
Interface:
There is no denying, however, that the user interface is impressive. In a silky black and yellow; the UI is vibrant, easy to navigate and looks incredibly professional.
