LEGO Creationary is an official LEGO app that puts the award winning toy right on your Android. The game tests your ability to guess what item is being built on the screen and gives you 4 options to choose from. Get the correct answer to progress up to a score of 15. The quicker you get the answer, the higher your score. The challenge gets harder mid-way through the levels as brick colors change, making it trickier to guess what the creation is. Brilliant fun for kids, perhaps a challenging yet nostalgic trip down memory lane for adults, the game is an enjoyable way to kill some time.

Pros & Cons:
Pros
- It’s LEGO! Probably the best toy in the world.
- Easy to pick up and play.
- Bright colors and polished graphics.
- Brilliant music and sound.
- Links to LEGO videos.
- Children absolutely love it.
Cons
- At just 15 levels and only 1 actual game mode, perhaps a bit short for adults.
- No means to go back to menu once you have started a game- weirdly you have to wait so many seconds before you are allowed to quit.
- Items repeat themselves a lot, so after a few games you can more or less guess what the item is from the first few bricks.
Features:
If I think about it, LEGO was probably my favourite toy as a kid, just edging He-Man and Battlecat in 2nd place.
I’m certainly not alone, LEGO has won countless awards and had frequently been called toy of the century. It’s great then to see the brightly colored bricks on Android. I have to say the game is irreducibly simple, so perhaps doesn’t hold my attention in the same way LEGO did when I was 8, but for kids of all ages it’s a fun little game.
The idea is to guess what is being built in front of you, and you are given 4 options to choose from. The faster you guess the correct answer, the higher your score for that level and there are 15 levels to complete. Initially you have to roll a dice to determine the category from which the creation will be based on, so there are 6 different outcomes here: buildings, nature, vehicles, items/people, 2x (score doubles), and mystery. Once a category has been selected, the creation begins to build. In each corner there is an option for you to choose from and you must touch one of these when you make your guess. The creation is built in front of you and the sooner you guess what it is correctly, the higher your score. These creations range from the Leaning Tower of Pisa to a small girl skipping so, as it builds, you need to identify as best as you can given the options you have. It’s really quite tricky at first, and I have to say I wasn’t always convinced that what was built was all that good! Half way through the 15 levels the colors change on the creations, so you have to work harder to figure out what it is. I have to say, it’s not too difficult and most adults will probably be able to get through the 15 levels after just a few tries but for kids the game is probably a treasure trove of puzzles.
You can share your score on Facebook if you want to, and additionally there are links to YouTube videos of LEGO’s new range of games. You can choose from 3 different LEGO packs from which the items can be built, but I found that this was quite limited and it was pretty easy to guess what creations are after just a few bricks. Another odd thing in the game is that it won’t let you quit, at least not initially. For some reason you have to wait a certain period of time before it lets you. :-?

Fun Factor:
Lots of fun for children and adults alike, but the fun factor diminishes quickly if you are an adult. Children though might get quite a few hours enjoyment out of this bright and cheerful game.
Addictive:
Initially it is, yes. But after a few games, and once you have completed the 15 levels and realize that’s all there is, it really feels pedestrian and probably won’t go back for much more. Kids though, will probably beg to play it over and over.
Graphics:
The graphics are bright, primary colored and deliciously delivered in the game.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
The in-game sound is actually superb, noises for each category, brilliant background music and a cacophony of cheers when you get the right answer.
