Cons

Features:
Komodo Phone Book is an address book application for Android that is meant to replace the stock Android Contacts application. It allows you to sort your address book by First Name, Last Name, or Company Name. It has other features as well that integrate with social networks and are meant to simplify contact editing.
Komodo Phone Book features a very clean and minimalistic interface which contributes to it’s extremely fast loading speed. The main screen allows you choose how your contacts are displayed. They can be displayed in either ascending or descending order by First Name, Last Name, and Company Name. The main contact view screen is functional and easy to use making the application appear like a possible replacement at first glace.
When you open a contact with Komodo Phone Book it displays all the contacts information similar to the normal Android Contact application. The big difference between this application is the way you edit the contents of the contact. If you wish to edit only the contacts mobile number you need only click on the pencil tool-tip next to their number in order to type in the new number. If you wish to add a new field to the contact just click the plus sign and choose the field you wish to add. This feature allows for the quick and easy editing of contact information without going through multiple fields or pages of information.
Komodo claims to support integration for both Facebook and Twitter. However, I could not enable this feature on either my Galaxy Tablet or Samsung Fascinate. Instead I would see a bunch of computer jargon in the notes field referring to the contacts Facebook account.
Komodo also claims that you can do group messaging with this application and create groups for contacts, but this was another feature that I could not find a way to enable in the application. There is no settings to change in the application except where the contacts are pulled from. When I tried to create a group with the plus button I was only given the option to create a contact. I also could not create or select from my existing groups while in contact view.

Usefulness:
Komodo Phone Book is only useful as a replacement for the existing contacts application if you prefer to sort your contacts by last name. The application does not allow you to sync properly with either Facebook or Twitter as it claims. It also does not allow you to create groups for your contacts.
These features are essential for most of today’s users and are included in almost every manufacturer version the the Android OS. Some examples from the largest manufacturers would be Samsung’s TouchWiz and Contact Application, Motorola’s Motoblur and Contact Application, and finally HTC’s Sense UI and People Application.
This application is just not a good replacement for your existing contact management.
Ease of Use:
Komodo Phone Book is very easy to use and the application loads very quickly. However, the application also lacks most of the normal functionality that you expect from a contact management program.
It is very easy to edit individual fields of information in a contact’s profile. However, the pencil tool-tip which is used to allow you to select these individual fields also clutters the contact view screen and looks incomplete. The application is easy to use, but feels unfinished.
Frequently Used:
I personally would never use this application because of it’s lack of basic features like group management and social media integration. I do like the minimalistic style, but the developer has a long way to go before this application can become a daily flyer.
Interface:
The minimalistic interface is appealing and fast. However, the pencil tool-tips in contact view mode make your contacts look cluttered and the app unfinished. The lack of social media integration, group management, and group messaging as advertised also severely detract from the usability of the interface.
