Price: Free
AndroidTapp.com Android App Review:
Pros & Cons:
Pros
- Phone to phone live video streaming
- Many interesting ways to use the app
- Decent video quality
- Search and find friends already using Knock or Invite
- Integrated with Twitter
Cons
- Low frame rates (depending on mobile data connection speed)
- No Facebook integration… yet
Features:
Knocking Live Video Android App is also for iPhone and allows all users of the app who are connected to share live streaming video (known as “Knocks”) of 3G or Wi-Fi networks! Similar to Qik but for phone to phone versus phone to Web live video streaming. Find friends or family by name, username or email address via search box within app or Invite them through email and phone contacts. Integrated with Twitter to blast tweets about your Knocks (no Facebook… yet). Has Privacy settings to allow Knocks with anyone or only friends/family.
Gripe Alert: Decent video quality however not at fluid frame rate… more like 5-15 fps depending on mobile data connection (improves if both phones connected to Wi-Fi).

Usefulness & Frequently Used:
The best asset about Knocking Live Video is how useful the app is and how many creative ways its use can be applied. In the video above, an advocate user showed how deaf people CAN talk on a cell phone, some can use it to see/talk to family members long distance (like our soldiers), and so many creative use cases. It’s viral nature along with taking advantage of awesome technology is probably why the app hit more than 1 million users in four months, faster than Foursquare, Gowalla or Twitter.
Ease of Use:
Signup, find or invite friends, Knock and shoot… or receive the video.
