Kik updates messenger with new features & upgrades

Kik updated it’s messenger platform today for both iOS and Android. “I’m really excited about this update because there are several additions that you Kiksters have been asking for! And, of course, the app still has the same look and feel, speed and reliability that you’re familiar with,” said Tera Kristen on the Kik blog.

New features include the ability to share photos from the gallery on the phone, as well as use them as your profile picture; an icon that lets users know if their message has been opened and/or read; the ability to block people from sending you messages; and improved encryption of messages.
