Of the two I personally prefer the Aura, maybe because the blue version on the blue SGS3 is more masculine in design and just flowed well for my style. Built of light weight rubber-coated polycarbonate and two-toned brushed aluminum, which looked somewhat similar to the faux brushed aluminum the device tries to achieve. I really appreciated that it was thin and didn’t add extra bulk to the device. However, this sacrifices total protection of the device; as the top, bottom and obviously touchscreen surfaces are exposed. So a drop on these areas may still cause damage. I do not think you would buy the Aura with the expectation of complete protection, yet for its protection in a pocket/purse or light drops from shorter distances. The Aura fits the SGS3 very snugly, to the point that it can be difficult to get out. However, I’ve found a trick that if you turn the phone over, dig your nails on both sides down lower on the case and push the back in the center with your thumbs the phone will propel out (better make sure you aim at something soft). Of course this case has cut outs for the camera, speaker, LED light, volume rocker and power buttons (the last two are nice for tactile feedback of the phone’s actual buttons).
Aura comes in three colors: red/charcoal on charcoal, silver/blue on charcoal, and silver/pink on white.

The Vibes case is sturdy and soft at the same time. The brighter colors will attract the attention of some that desire a prettier phone case. It offers a little more protective coverage than its counterpart as the top and bottom are covered; only exposing the microphones, charging & audio ports, plus glass surface. The latter has more raised lip protection for the touchscreen than the Aura. Both come with a protective film for the screen, but no squeegee to sweep the bubbles out (but can be done with a lot of phone massaging). 
Vibes comes in four colors: aqua/white, pink/white, purple/charcoal, charcoal/charcoal.
