iRunner. Come back! It’s not a fitness app! iRunner doesn’t require you to do any actual running! iRunner is a fast-paced side-scrolling platform game with buttery smooth graphics and pumping little soundtrack. You’ll probably feel familiar with the ‘jump’ and ‘slide’ controls which help you jump and slide beneath obstacles that block your way. A game which is exhilarating and fun to play, yet a complete and utter nightmare to master.

Cons
iRunner is a fast paced running game, with great HD graphics and special game play. Mr.i, as the hair shows, is running as fast as possible to the mysterious destination. You need to keep good tempo to avoid all obstacles on the way. Trying to collect as many batteries as possible while running. Collect gifts to turn into fever state – cooler dress, exciting tempo, and double score!
Features:
The graphics will grab you first. Smart, beautiful and nippy the game has a real luxury feel to the gameplay. It really is one of those games which is easy to play and difficult to master (despite this being a horrific cliché these days). On this basis it’s great for casual gamers and hardened players alike. There are lots of achievements to unlock as you progress through the game.
The highlight for me is when you collect enough gifts you turn into a Batman version of your character “Mr i”… it’s very cool. The developers call it ‘fever mode’ but I’m not sure that gives it justice. If you die or hit an obstacle, your demotion is rewarded with 5% speed increase, making it more challenging to play.
Your little guy must traverse though a number of differing environments, from the ones that look like factory warehouses to desks and swamps, avoid light bulbs, spiders and cogs… it’s more than a bit quirky. For example when you hit an obstacle or falls down a hole, he appears to cry milk. Yes, milk. I’m not sure why, but it seems fun.
There’s also challenge mode, which is basically one never ending level- the idea is you keep going until you die. All this stunningly rendered action pulses to a soundtrack that pays some homage to the old super-hero style music from the 1960′s- think Spiderman and Batman style orchestral tracks with a pumping little beat behind it. You’ll probably be humming it for a while after wards anyway.
At the end of the level you reach a rocket, which you enter and receive a huge candy lolly as your reward.
The only disappointment with Mr i, is that it is terribly short. You only have the tutorial mode, normal mode and challenge mode. While challenge mode is infinite, the longevity of the game as a whole is sadly limited and repetitive. I hope with updates the developers Droidhen give us more!

Fun Factor:
Yes, it’s lots of fun. I’m not sure quite what Mr i is. He might be a candle, or a knob of butter…. all I know is he collects batteries to boost his life and when he captures enough gifts he turns into batman.
Addictive:
Painfully addictive. You never get to a point where you think ‘I just can’t do that bit’. It always seems a little bit unjustified when you die, like you could have done better. And that is the killer feature, the game wants you to do better so you try, try and try again.
Graphics:
Stunningly gorgeous graphics. Look out for the Batman-guy when you hit top speed, there’s a nice speed trail behind him as he blazes through the level.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
The sound is pretty fantastic, as already described. It’s a kind of bonkers super-hero caper music that speeds up with gameplay. Nothing in the way of vibration or accelerometer, but inclusion of these wouldn’t particularly add anything.
