InviteWiz is an event invitation application, that lets you create, send and manage event invitations to your friends/colleagues. The creation process is very simple and easy to navigate. The UI is functional without being too complex and the options are varied. However, doesn’t Facebook already do this better?

Pros
Cons
The fast, fun way to send invites and track replies. A real time saver! SMS invites made super-easy. Quickly send group invitations by text message (SMS) to any phone and track replies with ease. Great for organising parties, meetings, club events, catching up with friends and more.
InviteWiz is a smart little application. It has a simple yet powerful interface that lets you manage multiple events. Events can be updates and corresponding attendees notified of changes. This is perhaps great for organising work parties, training events or (Summer is nearly here folks!) barbecues.
In using InviteWiz however, I just kept having this nagging feeling that Facebook does all these things too, only better- like the ability to add pictures or videos to the event, add a geolocation, chat and share plans, etc. Compared with Facebook then, InviteWiz appears very limited. For some however, this could be seen as a plus point, as there is arguably more privacy gained by managing your event via SMS. Perhaps you have friends or family who are not on Facebook (or even email!), in which case, InviteWiz is a great idea.
The app has plenty of functions depending on what you want to achieve. You have a handy dashboard where you can manage your events, replies and recipients. Allowing the respondents to reply ‘Yes’, ‘No’ and ‘Maybe’ is a useful feature, which gives you the organizer an idea of event attendance.
From parties, nights out, nights-in, shopping trips, leisure trips, sporting events, gigs…. the list goes on and on, InviteWiz lets you create customised event invitations that go direct to invitees phones via SMS. In theory, whenever you organise something InviteWiz is a useful tool for inviting people. I wouldn’t recommend using it for weddings though, that might seem a little bit miserly!
Very straightforward and intuitive. Asks you to input event details and the people you want to invite, linking directly to you contacts list.
This probably depends on how active your social life is! If you barely leave your room let alone your house, this app might be a complete waste of time for you. If however, you are a level 12 party animal this could be an app you use daily.
Pretty basic administrative interface, little in the way of frills, but it is clear, functional and quick.

Should you Download InviteWiz? I think InviteWiz is a good little application, it works well, has a lot of functions and options and for many this will be a good event organising app that is perhaps more private than invites sent on Facebook. For me however, I’m not sure if I could find a use for it. If I organise something I would usually do so Facebook, email or like with my Mum, over the phone while she consults her wall calendar. The app is kind of let down by not at least syncing with your Gmail or phone calendar, to check what’s happening you have to go into the app. There is nothing particularly wrong with InviteWiz in terms of performance; it’s stable, functional and does as you would expect. For me the bottom line is this- if you want a light app with plenty of functionality and yet want to assert more privacy onto your arrangements, then InviteWiz will be just what you need. If so, download it, it’s exactly what you’re looking for. If however, you are happy using social networks to invite people, InviteWiz is not offering anything especially new.
