Google have just launched the new service: Google Play. Google Play is an amalgamation of Google Music, Apps, Games, Movies and Books; bringing all their entertainment services under one roof so-to-speak. So far, Android Market on the web now forwards to the Google Play menu and the Google Books Android app has just been updated and is now called “Google Play Books”. Google promises to soon update the Android Market app to the ‘Google Play Store’ in the next few days.
I read rumours very recently that ‘Google Play’ was potentially going to be a new Google-endorsed tablet, but it would appear that wasn’t the case. In celebration of this launch, Google have slashed the prices of many top items in their respective Markets- so grab yourself a bargain and boggle at the new layout by getting over there sharpish. (See a trio of Gameloft HD games with price reduction for the celebration).
For a more detailed low-down, and an explanation of the aforementioned sale items and how you can get them, check out the official Google blog and the intro video below.
