iMeem mobile music player is a really cool app. It allows you to stream and listen to music on the go. It is a great alternative to the default media player. Also, if you like the song, you can easily download it from the Amazon MP3 Store.
It’s easy to navigate this app as it is sectioned with tabs. You can find interesting things when you press the Menu button such as Stations, Search and Downloads.
The iMeem app for Android is packed with features; Featured, Favorites, Recent, and Search.
Featured is a predefined list of your Favorites music, Spotlight new and notable artists iMeem selects, and Top 100 songs on iMeem for the week. Favorites are a list of artists that you save when you tapp the “heart” icon while a song is playing. You can easily tapp an artist you’ve fav’d to start playing their music channel. Recent is a cool feature that keeps a list of the recent artists you’ve fav’d. Search allows you to search artists in their database.
The other interesting feature of iMeem is that it plays similar artists, songs, or genres to the artist you desired… this will give you a chance to discover new music you might like. Also to note, once your song buffers, it plays right away; therefore playing in a matter of seconds over 3G!
One drawback we found in this is sometimes the accuracy of stay with similiar artists, songs, or genres drifted a bit. Additionally, playing a artists channel tended to play some of the same order and type of songs versus a complete shuffle. For example, we started with Kanye West several times and iMeem always started with the song “Can’t Tell Me Nothing“…
As a feature enchancement, we would recommend more songs and the latest songs to hit the database faster. Shuffle a little better, allow sign up from the phone and allow the searching of song titles in addtion to artists.
Definately a frequently used app. Use it to replace your default Music Player, tired of your own MP3 library or want to discover some new music!
The design interface is Awesome! The black with diagnal lines and radient border colors inspired the design of this website! It is totally optimized for thumb/finger navigation.

I think the favorites is a great added feature to this app I do wish you weren’t restricted to only skipping 6 songs but its not too bad. One thing I think would make this the best app would be if you could play the playlist from online on the device… after spending 2 hrs making an amazing playlist online I foudn out it wont load on device
