Pros

• First person snipper game
• Good game theme and 2D graphics

Cons

• Difficult and slow to control
• Repetitive goals of virtually shooting targets in many locations among different backdrops
• Only available on Android operating system 2+ devices (i.e. Motorola DROID and Nexus One)

Features:

iCommando Android Game is a first-person snipper shooting game. Follow specific missions to eliminate all enemies before time runs out and complete the goal by killing the opposition’s leader to advance to the next level.

Gripe Alert: I find the game very cumbersome to control. There are a lot of things that can be cleaned up in the user experience. For example, the “fire” button is right next to the Back button on the Nexus One so it’s easy to tap the Back button by mistake; forcing you to start the mission all over again.

The accelerometer controls are not practical, I find myself playing the game with the phone and head in the air in awkward positions while aiming at enemy targets. Because of this I recommend not using the snipper option until you’ve first zoomed out to identify a target then tap the screen to zoom in snipper mode to shoot. I understand this is just a video game, but ironic that your combatant is a Sniper that is in an open position to get shot so much… no worries as it takes a lot of hits to be killed.

Fun Factor & Addictive:

Honestly in the current state of the game it does not hold your attention span as it gets repetitive; virtually shooting targets in many locations among different backdrops.

Graphics:

The graphics and battle settings are great however they’re not 3D. Taking advantage of Android phones’ Open GL 3D graphics rendering would take this game to the next level.

Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:

iCommando Android Game features awesome sound effects of battle, vibration when you’re hit and the core of the game involves the accelerometer.
