One of the Android Apps that is gaining a lot of buzz lately is Waze, a new social app intended for drivers. In a nutshell, it’s a driving map empowered by users, in real-time. Ever wished you could’ve avoided a dreadful traffic jam a mile ahead? It’s possible with Waze. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg, users can also send updates to other drivers in their community, reporting on road construction, accidents & incidents, police traps & speed cams, available parking and more. The cool part about it is that since it’s community-generated, the more people who use it, the better it gets. And according to the App Market, people are really enjoying their participation in getting this thing going.
Right now, to spread the word about their new Android App, waze has a contest giving away a new myTouch 3G Android phone! Waze is giving away myTouch 3G phone to 1 out of the first 100 unique road reporters in your state with their “Waze Across America” contest. Note that you must be registered with a valid email address to participate.
How to participate:
- Download Waze free from the Android Market.
- Register with a valid email address.
- Send a Waze road report to other users in your area.
- Keep Waze on until you arrive at your destination.
