Home++ Android App is a cool home screen replacement app. Offering from 3 to 7 screens for bookmarking apps or contacts, retro flip time and date widget offer quick links to alarm and calendar apps, plus quick launch icons to frequently used features such as Search, Voice Search, Browser, Voice Dialer, and Apps drawer.

Usefulness:

More screens and quick access deem it useful.

Some of the features are not as intuitive like launching the screen cards, figuring out where the apps drawer is for the first time, and where to find the quick settings bar; Wifi and Bluetooth.

If used, every time you tap the Home button.

Interface:

Your organization or imagination determines the final UI, however the app is all about giving users freedom to customize their home screen.

I love the interface, far better than openhome or the stalk home screen. But, it sucks that it doesn’t kill apps when you press the back button to the home screen, as it really bogs down the phone. Also, last time I tried live wallpaper wasn’t working which was a let down.

i have been using this application for four months.
    no forecloses
    not slow
    useful shottcuts
    great animated widgets
    etc.

many people have not realized how beautiful this home replacement is yet =)

how do i get this on my phone?

This is amazing. Much of an improvement over the original, while still speedy on my Nexus One. It even lets you turn off that annoying background scroll. Also supports landscape homescreen!

  5. JimR says:

Loved the program but seemed to have a problem running live wallpaper on the Moto Droid. Would run it again once thats fixed.

This is by best the best i’ve seen and brotha i’ve tried them all. So far, I am really impressed.

How can I get this application? I’ve got the Samsung Moment from Sprint, and I can’t find this anywhere on the Droid Market!

  8. DroidFan88 says:

I have tried several different home screens, this is the best. It’s a little confusing in the beginning but in a day or two, you will realize how useful it is to have the task bar at the bottom with the apps you use most, on every screen, readily available. It’s a real time saver and you can have up to 7 screens. I hope they soon come up with some additional enhancements. It’s a 5 in my book.

I have tried all the Home replacements and this one is by far the best. I have had a smooth transition after playing with it for less than 5 minutes. Only downside is no Live Wallpapers, but I can live without that as the previously used Homes would support it but would also forceclose all the time. I’d rate a 4.5 out of 5.
