Bluestacks, creator of software that allows Android apps to be run on Windows computers, surveyed their 145K Facebook fans to come up with a radical composite called Mr. Android 2011 to show what the typical guy with an Android phone looks like. As stereotypical as this may be, the picture seems about right… this from my own opinion of my friends and colleagues in the industry when we geek out at major telecom conferences or press events.
The study has some other humorous findings such as 8% reported having unusually large heads, 37% reported wearing glasses, and startling (but not surprising) finding that a third of those surveyed have never downloaded a paid app. Maybe you cheapskates should start, why not download a quality paid app from us! We’ve seen other humorous photos how smartphone users are perceived in the past. The company plans to release a Ms. Android in 2012. Either way, check out the image below. Is this you? Is this a stereotype? Whatever the case tell us in the comments below.
