Features:
Hello Kitty Coffee takes that famous white Japanese bobtail cat and puts her or you as the manager of a busy dessert cafe. Endless waves of hungry children invade your shop looking for service and it’s you job to keep food and drinks prepared, have enough servers to accommodate service, enough seating for customers, enough room for seating & decor, clean up after dining to collect various currency or rewards, and expand the shop where needed. All this is going on simultaneously! Now let’s segue into the top information bar to understand what it all means and how to build using it:

Hello Kitty Coffee Menu
From left to right: the current level, points (earned with apples) needed to advance to the next level, and stars. The timer, which can speed things up if you pay in candy (more on candies later.) Heart limits how much play time you can devote to the game, because if you run out, it will only replenish one heart every three minutes. If you do not have hearts you cannot pick up bonus surprises customers leave behind (this too, can be replenished with candies.) Coins are earned after a good dining experience, expressed above your patron’s head as a yellow smiley face (unhappy customers show a blue sad smiley when you take too long to serve them or not enough seating is available) or pink & yellow gift box. The latter can give anything from single value gold coins to fruit and coffee rewards. Additionally, when you clean up after customers you typically get one coin, to collect any item simply tap them, be sure collect them fast enough and not to let them expire and disappear. Finally there are the candies, which seem the most difficult to earn, typically after you advance a level.
If managing all of that at one is not challenging enough, you must continue to expand your store by purchasing square footage, furniture, decor and equipment. Additionally, you’ll notice that as your customers zig-zag into seats, your servers will not move to serve them until they are seated. Plus the closest waiter may not serve them, thus increasing their likelihood of being an unhappy customer. Lastly, if too many kids are zipping in and out, it’s time to expand your shop, so it’s an infinite cycle to earn enough and pass levels to expand your store!
During all of the building, you may get hungry yourself as there are plentiful treats from coffee and green tea to cheesecake and sandwiches (all of which you need to be conscious of how long it takes to cook, else if there is nothing to serve you have unhappy customers or if it sits too long it could spoil.) You can earn, collect and redeem rewards like vegetables, animals and school supplies too.
All this can amount to good time-waster fun as it is intended for frequent short spurts. However, the gaming network experiences frequent outages, this I personally experienced within the review period on an ICS device, and many in the Google Play store have complained of the same on various versions of the Android OS. If connection stability were not an issue, it would be an ideal casual time management game.

Fun Factor:
Hello Kitty Coffee is quite the fun game. It actually is quite the multi-tasking challenge too as you have to manage many aspects at once to continue to earn the currency you need to build and keep customers happy. One cool feature that may inspire you to thrive more in your cafe is the “Random” feature to see how other players of the game are managing and decorating their stores.
Addictive:
The nature of this game immerses you to addiction as you cannot stop while you are playing, yet it forces you to stop as your hearts will run low, and replenishing means exhausting hard to earn candy. Hello Kitty Coffee will remind you with notifications to come back when things are replenished (if these alerts get too annoying you can turn them off in the Settings menu). A virtual simulation of your gameplay will continue if you close the game, so upon returning, you see your earnings and must immediately get to work serving & building.
Graphics:
The graphics are directly from the Hello Kitty style of cartoons. Though this may not suit every one’s tastes, for those who enjoy it, the presentation is in a nifty aerial 3D perspective we see in games like Game Dev Story, Bakery Story, Restaurant Story, etc.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
Hello Kitty Coffee features a cute yet repetitious ditty that sticks in your head, of course this can be turned off in the Settings menu.
