I totally need this feature, and have been quietly grumbling to myself about always having to manually launch Listen every time I plug in the jack in my car, turn up the volume all the way, and then do the reverse when I leave the car.

However, I see no reason why a $10 location-aware app would be required to implement this feature, so it looks like I’ll have to continue grumbling (or make the app myself?).

I get this done using Tasker. No need for a separate app to do just one thing…

I agree with Droyid. Locale is great but it’s weakness compared to tasker is that the users have to rely on plugins to get some of the functionality. If the plugins were free and developed by the locale folks, I wouldn’t mind but many cost money and that rankles when the app itself isn’t free. The tasker developers seem more geared towards making sure that the users don’t have to spend any more money after the initial purchase.
