Grow is a bright bubbly fish game from Epic Pixel and was recently Amazon’s Free App of the day. The simple idea is to float around, out of harm’s way chomping on smaller fish in order to grow bigger and bigger. Once you start munching, don’t stop, keep going until you are the biggest fish in the bowl!. The games features multiple levels and environments, lots of enemies and bonus effects and numerous scoring grades to keep your competitive bones coming back for more.

Features:
Grow is fishy game of survival of the fittest as you guide your little aquatic creature as it eats its way to the top of the food chain. Start off a dinky little squib, and gradually grow bigger and bigger until you are the biggest fish around. The idea is very simple and, although not original the developers have done a great job for this familiar game.
It would appear a lot of work has gone into making the game idea more competitive and, with lots of levels, environments and bonuses there is huge scope for this game. It makes the game more than about good timing, but also good strategy. This makes the game, while familiar, refreshing and interesting to play. Additionally as you chomp your way along you can also collect coins to later spend in the game shop and get a variety of upgrades such as power and speed.
Controls are limited to either using an onscreen joystick or simply touching the direction on the screen you want your fishy to move. There is a promise soon of tilt-controls. I personally found the onscreen joystick the easiest to use as I found myself blocking my own view using the other method of control. The joystick is far more user-friendly and I felt I had more control.
On Survival mode you can also enter your score onto the online rankings, see if you really can be the biggest fish out there! I think this, alongside all the bonuses you can buy and upgrade really makes this game more than a cute 2 dimensional swim ‘em up. there is real depth there and an engaging challenge for both children and adults alike.

Fun Factor:
The game is incredibly good fun to play. With the additional bonuses and boosts there is also much potential there is be one of your favourite time-waster games.
Addictive:
Grow is massively addictive. Simple gameplay, combined with online scoring, bonuses, a huge variety of levels and unlockables mean this game is one of those you find very difficult to put down!
Graphics:
The graphics are sweet, bright and nice. The developers have made the graphics as smooth and as delicious as I think possible for a 2 dimensional game.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
Tilt controls are on the way in a future update so we cannot yet mark that. The sound however is really good; lots of bubbly underwater sounds and meaty chomps with each fishy bite. I found the game remarkably relaxing despite fighting for my fishes life most of the time. The sound makes for a really immersive experience (suitable as you are underwater all the time!)
