Features:
One day Granny Smith was rockin’ in her rocking chair on the porch and this rotund bandit comes and snatches her apples she loves so dearly. So she grabs her skates from the tool shed and races after him. The adventure begins as each level you’re always catching up to the rascal jumping, flipping, racing down hills or hoops, sliding zip-lines with her cane, and crashing through glass, wood, brick walls, homes… or whatever. Granny really does some epic crashes, try that for some good insensitive laughs.

Granny Smith Crashing Through Walls
Your goal is to get to the three apples in the level, while collecting gold coins, in witty timing to beat the thief to the finish line. Simple enough right? That statement is definitely simpler said than done. Granny Smith’s adventure starts out simple but things can get so wild and crazy very fast; one second you could be swinging from cables with your cane to crashing through houses snagging apples.
There are only two controls; cane/bone/umbrella on the left and jump/flip on the right. Though the controls are simple, the difficulty comes in how you finesse them by pressing with perfect timing or holding at them for the right amount of time.
The coins you earn in the game can be used to purchase power-ups like helmets when crash through things, banana peels to cause the knuckle head to slip up, baseballs to throw at that bonehead or use them to break through walls and glass; this softens the blow and doesn’t slow you down… remember you’re in a crazy race after all. Trip or fall and you lose those coins like in Sonic the Hedgehog, yet unlike the popular Sega game it’s possible to gain them all back as they roll away downhill. These coins can also be used to purchase other character upgrades like Scruffy the dog or Stanley, who I presume is Granny’s love interest? Scruffy uses his bone while Stanley uses an umbrella while zip-lining. Lastly, coins can be used to buy your way out of a level… Boo!
This game has the habit of making you yearn to replay levels and better your ‘apple score’, even those you’ve beaten, rather than skip levels.
A nifty feature is the sepia color graded vintage-style instant replays you get to watch at the end of each round or at any completed level for that matter. The replays are a good entertaining mix of zooming in and/or slow motion for awesome crashes.
The levels span from Granny’s farm to city high rises- this all in great and dangerous fun. If I had a complaint, it would be that there are only 36 levels and 3 worlds (but more are coming soon).

Granny Smith Characters to Unlock in the Tool Shed
Fun Factor & Addictive:
Granny Smith is instant addiction in your hands, totally fun and wholly challenging. It’s hard to believe a game so simple in concept could be so addictive; think of it like Turbo Grannies meets Temple Run.
Graphics:
The game features this really cool thematic, like a faux three dimensional paper-style environment, and the characters have a bobble-head like appeal.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
Granny Smith features a soothing Jazz tune that is quite enjoyable. Actually you play to the same tune, however, you become so engrossed in the gameplay you completely forget it’s the same song! Otherwise you hear plenty of ruckus from crashes, cityscape sounds like trains & sirens, grunts from jumps, sneakers from the bandit if he passes you or steals the apple before you, and barks from Scruffy.
