Changes recognized in the Android Developers Blog showed a plan for Google to allow carrier collection of app revenue. I’m not sure why this has been such a challenge to execute in years past but I’m sure glad that there will be the option now to charge the app to your phone bill. I’m sure this will not be available for sometime due to the fact that there has to be a building tall long list of legal and safety parameters they will have to iron out with the carriers first. T-Mobile has already been taking advantage of this for some time now.
Carriers will love to be able to supplement income from falling voice subscription sales and will surely push all of their Android phones to the forefront when this actually happens. I’m sure there will be a long list of new apps and an increase of app purchases when the new system is in place.
