Google’s Android is World’s Leading Smart Phone Platform

According to a report by Canalys, Google’s Android mobile OS has taken the global smartphone lead shipping more than 33 million in Q4 of 2010 alone (a 615.1% growth from Q4 of 2009; Android shipments in all of 2009 were nearly 8 million). In only two years Android has come to surpass Nokia, Apple and RIM in worldwide smartphone saturation, but we’ve seen this coming… it now has the numbers to prove it.
