Google to Dolphin Browser: Remove YouTube Downloader Feature

Today we learned the popular mobile web browsers Dolphin Browser and newly launched Dolphin Browser HD for Android almost faced removal from the Android Market as it violated the terms of use with the YouTube Downloader feature. So if you have the browsers and get the update you’ll notice this beloved and convenient feature will be missing.
When I first heard the news I thought, “dammit, this brings us back to the days when I the first showed the world how to download YouTube videos on Android manually!” However for those who still want to hang on to the rich feature from the browser there is a workaround; don’t update, backup the current version of the app to SD Card with apps like Astro or AppManager (now called AppMonster). This way if you do decide to update, as they will add more awesome features, you can check them out and still jump back to the oldie but goodie un-Google dictated version.
