Shopper Android App allows you to bar code scan or photo scan products to get more information like pricing, where to buy online or near by, product details, favorites and history. Enjoy three input methods: type search, say your search or Visual Search by scan a products’ bar code or pointing the phones camera at the product.
The Voice Search ironically could use some improving. I tried some voice searches for “Nexus One“, to my surprise it either didn’t understand me or search something else like “nexos 1″. Here I would imagine Google bringing some techniques from the Web than make our lives easier like, corrective search suggestions. Although it’s not completely perfect, the technology is on the cusp of something great!

Shopper Android app is both useful and cool with shopping and comparing products.
Shopper has evolved a step easier than predecessor Goggle Goggles as you don’t have to focus and take a picture of the product in that regard, simply hold the camera in front of the product and let it scan it and find. Sweet!

I had hoped that it would give me local pricing. For example, I used “Voice search” to search for ground beef, and all it came up with was online purchases of grass-fed beef for upwards of $8 a pound from companies I never heard of, and nothing about what’s available in my local grocery stores. I couldn’t find any way to fine-tune results, either.
Three stars for the voice search. Data no where near as complete as ShopSavvy. I’ll keep it on my phone, but if I need space it will get the heave-ho.
