    I just bought one.
I had to buy the unlocked one, since I couldn’t upgrade my corporate plan on t-mobile. All in all, price-wise, it was better to just buy the unlocked one.

I’ll let you know what i think of it :-)

Just read on Vodafone UK’s official Twitter account that the Nexus One is coming to Vodafone UK, so I’ll be bagging one.

no plans to get one currently. my G1 is more than enough phone for me right now… ill prolly start scouting craigslist in 4-6 months and score one for half the unlocked price, same as i did my G1…

although, without a keyboard, i may just pass on it altogether. ssh with android’s truly *awful* soft keyboard is PAINFUL…

The soft-keyboard isn’t all that bad with the larger screen, and the voice-recognition is awesome – very high accuracy, even in noisy environments! It works with searches, texting and pretty much all the basic apps too. I love it!

Which one did you purchase, unlocked or T-Mobile?

Just remembered you’re my homie! I’m an existing TMO customer, but purchased one unsubsidized. What about you?

I will be doing the same as you since existing T-Mobile customers who upgraded within the last year won’t qualify for the subsidized price.

Which sucks almost as much as Vinnies play calling at the end of games. Any idea why we get assessed tax on our online transaction with an out of state vendor?

          • By Android Tapp on January 5, 2010 at 9:30 pm:

No I do not know why, according to their Sales Tax info on their Ts’&C’s page, you were to be charged tax based on the state you pick, but they don’t specify which states are charged sales tax.

“If the Device is shipped to you in the United States, you may be charged sales tax depending on the address to which the Device is delivered.”

          • By Anton Spaans on January 5, 2010 at 9:32 pm:

If google has a presence in your state, you will be taxed according to your state’s sales tax.

Correct, they must have a warehouse here? Almost as exciting is TMOs announcement that they doubled their 3g speed to HSPA 7.2, which is at least double that of any other US 3g service.

They actually have an office in Chicago near Marina City, it’s very nice. I forgot that rule with online sales taxes.

My N1 phone was just delivered, about half an hour ago.
Can’t wait to get home and play with it :-)

Now it seems the only place to get it is eBay or Amazon. Google stopped selling the device online, and in the U.S. it never hit actual stores. ;(
