With Android tipping more than 90,000 Android apps in the Market, Google is allowing anyone the ability to create their own app via online tool call Google App Inventor for Android. The above video shows a simple sound board app with no programming skills necessary and how easy it is to build and export to an Android phone for testing.
We want to know your opinion in the comments below on this as we’re mixed in feelings; yes it would increase the number of apps and allow those without years of Java programming knowledge and resource to build an app, but it will lower the overall quality if hoards of cat sound boards hit the Market. I’m digressing but it only does your favorite Android app review website a favor as we bring you the best Android apps anyway. ![]()

I think this is a great thing. Who knows how many people are out there with amazing ideas for apps, but just wouldn’t know where to begin in developing them. Well this program takes that problem off the table. I wish I was a little better with this type of technology, I would love to try and develop an app as I have a few ideas…
I have mixed feelings about this too. As a developer, I don’t know if I like the idea of just anybody creating an app. On the other hand, these apps will definately not be high quality, so it may turn out that these apps set out a lot of new great ideas that developers can then flesh out into wonderful apps. Only time will tell.
