Google Adds Device Compatibility Check for Android Apps to Online Marketplace

Google’s Android Marketplace has added device compatibility to it’s Web version. Now, when you go to an app page online, a notice shows up directly underneath the app’s Install button telling you whether or not your particular phone is compatible.

While app developers can block apps from showing up in the market on devices that don’t meet their requirements, the Web version of the marketplace shows everything. Previously, you had to try to install the app to get the compatibility message from the site, making this a nice time saver, and a much-needed UI improvement.

How do I check if a device is compatible? I’m planning on getting a new phone. i need it to be able to get asus wifi go remote. i have the E720b at the moment. Unfortunately its not compatible.
