- Customize individual contacts with different signatures, notification sounds, and chat styles.
- GO SMS Pro gives you the ability to customize the application your way with custom themes, DIY themes, animation effects, font, 2D and 3D effects.
- Another plus is the multiple plug-ins such as Facebook Chat, Wallpaper and Emoji.
- Support for blacklists, SMS backup & restore, and also the ability to schedule text messages.
- Supports multiple user defined settings.
- Search easily through your text messages and find the one you need quickly.

- Does take a slight bit longer to open than stock messaging application.

GO SMS is by far my favorite replacement messaging application that is available in the Android Market. It features so many customizable options that will guarantee you the ability to have the perfect messaging application. These customizations include everything from themes to conversation style, individual contact settings to multiple user defined settings plus so very much more.
One of my favorite features is the individual contact settings. I love having the ability to set custom notifications per contact, modify my signature, and change the conversation style. By having this ability you can easily tell who the message is from without the need to look at your device.
Another interesting feature that you can take advantage of is the multiple plug-ins that are available as free download in the market. The Facebook chat plug-in makes it possible to receive and send Facebook chat messages and since these messages are sent through the Facebook network it does not effect your SMS messages at all. In addition to that plug-in is the Emoji plug-in. This one gives you the ability to send unique emoticons to your friends and family that have an Android device. Of course they need the plug-in installed also to be able to view them.
With all the features that GO SMS Pro has you will be able to set up the perfect messaging application for your Android device. Plus with the ability to backup and restore using your SD Card you will be able to easily move from phone to phone with no worries.

Usefulness:
GO SMS Pro is a very useful messaging application and it has become my number one messaging application to replace the stock app. Especially considering it cones with a blacklist feature to stop spammers from randomly texting you plus you can backup text messages to SD Card. It provides many useful features and plug-ins to make messaging one of a kind.
Ease of Use:
This messaging application is very easy to set up and use. Customize it quickly and easily with straight forward settings and backup your settings to the SD Card for just in case possibilities or in case you decide to get a new device. By doing that you will be able to easily set GO SMS Pro up in the future by restoring your settings from your SD Card.
Android Advice™: How to Remove Duplicate Notifications when GO SMS Pro is Installed
- Go the Settings » Managing Applications » browse for Messaging » Uncheck Default settings.
- When you send a new text message, check the “Use by default for this action” checkbox option then choose GO SMS Pro.
Frequently Used:
If you are a constant texter like I am you will be using this application non stop; and with the pop-up notifications, quick reply, and quick text you will be able to text more than you ever have before.
Interface:
GO SMS Pro’s interface is great without the use of any of the customizations available. However, everyone wants something a little different and more suited to their taste, at least I know that I do, luckily GO SMS Pro gives you the ability to customize and make it yours.
