Gingerbread Looks Done, Now Where Is It?

Late last week, Google Mobile posted a tweet giving good hints that Gingerbread is nearing it’s release to the open public. The question now is: when will it be available? A lot of Android users were waiting patiently Thursday/Friday with their eyes glued to their Twitter looking for a response but received nothing. The last we heard of anything was when Google released the video of the Gingerbread statue at their campus.
There’s still much speculation as to what Gingerbread will include but several community sites have made their claims and projections. We’ve given some thought to what Gingerbread may include as well and hopefully our predictions are more right than wrong. As we wait patiently for a sign from Google, enjoy the freshly baked Android-logo-shaped cookies.
P.S.: I’m crossing my fingers that the rollout of Gingerbread will be a little smoother than Froyo. It feels like we just caught up with 2.2 catching a large portion of the Android market share.
