Generali is the corporate application for the company of the same name. Essentially created for stakeholders, employees and other connected professionals, the app provides a variety of information about the organisation including contacts, financial information, events and corporate documents. Obviously this app is a little niche and possibly not relevant for many Android users, but for interested parties, it’s an invaluable resource to have in your pocket.

Pros & Cons:
Pros
- Well designed user interface!
- Packed with useful information!
- Easy to use and access!
Cons
- Not intended for general mass users, however, niche to Generali customers.
- Slight lag with transitions.
Features:
Based from Italy, Generali is one of the largest insurance companies in Europe. It has operations dotted around the world, offer a variety of insurance-based products and, fact-fans, were once able to name Franz Kafka as one of their employees. This corporate application provides a slew of handy information for anyone involved in the company or perhaps generally interested in the corporate insurance world. Not for everyone, but the app gives users a detailed overview of the company should it be required.
The app includes the following: press releases, webcast, financial results, latest financial reports, share charts, corporate documents, image gallery, global location maps, key events calendar and head office contacts. All this info is updated when required and can be accessed easily in a intuitive and user-friendly dashboard interface. Essentially you get a number of large tabs which allows you to explore: news and events, webcast and results, share charts, library, image gallery and contacts. You can also skip directly to calendar events (including Italian soccer matches!) and global location info.
The interface is well designed and very professional, although I did note a slight lag when you explore the app. Transitions between screens are perhaps not as smooth as we have come to expect of apps. Perhaps the best example is when the side panel menu slides out- it’s not quite as smooth as most Android users are used to. That said, if you’re interested in the information contained in the app, it’s not as if this is a particularly vital.
Simply put, if you work in global insurance, or have any vested interested or stakeholder status with the company, you’re going to download this. Alternatively, if all of this means absolutely nothing to you, there would be no reason to download the app.

Usefulness:
If you’re involved with Generali in some way, the app provides a porthole to most of the important corporate information contained on the company’s website. There’s no overview of services offered, so unless you have an otherwise vested interested in Generali, this will not be useful to you at all.
Ease of Use:
The app is very easy to use and simple to navigate.
Frequently Used:
This will, of course, depend very much on the end user and their level of interest in the company.
Interface:
As described, the interface is beautifully designed and looks great. The screens themselves are little on the laggy side but this isn’t a major problem and only noticeable compared to other applications.
