- The whopping 41MB might put some users off.
Features:
Frisbee Forever is essentially a game where you toss a Frisbee then guide it through a winding obstacle course. You control the flying disc either by on-screen buttons or via your accelerometer by tilting left or right. There are triangles, rings and helter-skelters to fly through in addition to collecting stars and other bonuses along the way. It’s therefore not overly dissimilar to games like My Paper Plane 2.
As soon as you throw your first Frisbee you’ll notice the immaculately sharp graphics and immense 3D environment. It really looks incredible. The areas are initially cute towns and fairgrounds but you soon find yourself navigating through canyons, beaches, snowy mountains and glaciers. There are over 100 different courses across at least 14 different locations. As you progress and gain stars you can also buy different Frisbees to use. There are over 100 designs to collect so there is a huge amount of longevity available if you get into the game. Scoring is all managed through Papaya, so you can compare your efforts with your friends.
I thought the sensitivity of the controls were a little tricky to start with but I soon got the hang of it. Once you’ve mastered the controls, the game is all about accumulating as many stars and items as possible to progress. You need stars to buy new Frisbee’s and unlock later levels. As you progress levels do get significantly tricker, but the learning curve is sympathetic, so the game remains fun to play throughout. The backdrops are so incredibly rich, expect to be distracted by the lush visuals- I had to play a few levels just to have a good look around!
It’s hard to pick fault with the game, although I can imagine the *cough* 41 megabytes of data the game needs might be beyond users with older devices. If you can squeeze it in though, the experience is well worth it. Frisbee Forever is loads of fun and has extensive longevity potential through the vast array of items you can accumulate, in addition to the various levels and stages.

Fun Factor:
Frisbee has always been fun, I’m sure most people will have some memories at some stage of their lives playing with one. On that basis the game is a gorgeous nostalgic throwback to heady memories of days down a park. However, the beautifully rich graphics, diverse levels and wide variety contained in the game gives the concept a significantly 21st century feel. The game really is pretty immaculate; well developed, loads of fun to play and has immense longevity. It’s a game you could be playing for many months to come.
Addictive:
The game is very addictive- its something you can play for 5 minutes or 5 hours at a time. The various things you can accumulate means you can easily keep going back for more; each time having different experiences as you explore the Frisbee world. There is so much to gain and collect here, it’s a game that is hugely rewarding and keeps you going back for more. I wouldn’t say it’s ‘unputdownable’ but it certainly draws you back over and over again.
Graphics:
While I can imagine the graphics chip in some lower end phones might fry at the thought of Frisbee Forever, if your phone can handle it, the game is incredibly gorgeous. Bright colours, smooth Frisbee flight, plenty of effects to wonder at (just check out the rings of sunshine in levels like Cherry Springs) and scintillating environments make for a buttery-rich graphics-fest that is to die for.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
The accelerometer controls took me a bit of getting used to, but you at least have the choice between these and on-screen buttons. The music here is very cute and suits the game well. While the sounds aren’t anything to write home about they compliment the gameplay nicely.
