Free Long Distance Calling with RebTel Android App, No Wifi Required

RebTel is an Internet phone company with more than 4 million users. In recent years they have seen long distance market share increase go from 15% down to 8%; mainly due to the new behavior of calling from computers. Their business model offers free long distance calling without the need for Wi-fi. The catch however the calling and receiving parties must both have the RebTel app installed. The iPhone and Blackberry versions are due out soon (provided they pass respective vetting processes).

If you do make an International call to someone without RebTel the rates are really low, in fact lower than Skype. RebTel calls to India are 1.8 cents a minute while Skype is 10 cents a minute. They do offer a manual method for making free calls at http://www.rebtel.com/en/Learn/Make-Free-Calls/.

I use rebtel it is not free. You have to pay for calls to destinations like india, UK and China. But guys hang on there is a new service coming up and they offer free nationwide calls in US, Canada and even free internationals to India. I cannot wait for the service. I’ve nevr seen any need 2 try any other service other than FOocall as calls to Pakistan are so cheap u can c them here http://www.foocall.com/cheap-international-phone-calls

I’ve tried using Rebtel for some time to reach my friend from Jamaica from France.
1. I got no free call that worked.
2. After a few months when attempting to add funds I could not login for 2 weeks.
3. The service center sent me 3 different login numbers, none of which worked.
4. I can’t recommend them to anyone.
