Floozled is a bright and starry memory game, similar to Simon-says. Coloured boxes are highlighted in a random order, then it is your turn to replicate the sequence. Simple to play but hugely challenging, there are three brain-busting difficulty levels that unlock as you progress.
Price: Free
Tested on: HTC One X
Content Rating: Everyone
Pros & Cons:
Pros
- Beautifully slick graphics!
- Easy to play!
- Insanely challenging and addictive!
- Three tough difficulty levels!
Cons
- Good for casual bursts only, probably not enough diversity for long sessions of play.
- Sound is very basic.
Features:
Floozled is developed by m-space media, who also brought us the outstanding Asteroid 2012. It would seem recreating childhood favourites is a thing they are incredibly good at with this cute Simon Says-style game. Simply copy the pattern demonstrated by the brightly coloured boxes to move to the next level. The complexity of the patterns get gradually trickier and the numbers of boxes increases too. The aim of the game is to solve as many puzzles as you can and your score is represented by the levels you complete. You get three lives to get the combination right, if not it’s game over.
The graphics are very cool, I haven’t seen such beautifully rendered boxes since A Monster Ate My Homework! Gameplay is obviously simple to start with but things do get very tough indeed and your memory will be tested to the very limits. There are three difficulty levels; Simple, Advanced and Insane. ‘Simple’ presents you with brightly coloured and simple to follow sequences, to get you involved gently. Advanced removes the box colours, so following the pattern is vital, rather than relying on the colours to help. Then Insane turns this gameplay on it’s head- quite literally. After the pattern is demonstrated the boxes swivel and flip, turn and twist- it’s your job to remember the pattern from the new position… this is where the brain really starts to melt!
Floozled is loads of fun, but I can only imagine it as a casual game to play; something to dabble with now and again, perhaps something to challenge your friends over. There is the opportunity to engage with the social mobile gaming platform Heyzap, so possibly something you can get globally competitive over if you wish.

Fun Factor:
For short bursts of brightly coloured puzzle fun, Floozled is fantastic. It’s a game that adults and kids can both enjoy and is as challenging as it is entertaining. I genuinely think it’s a very casual game, you’d have to be pretty dedicated to play for hours at a time.
Addictive:
Definitely yes. It’s a fun environment and you’ll soon be having a competition with yourself to beat your own score. The higher difficulty levels are fiendishly tricky, ideal for the memory game masochist!
Graphics:
Powered by Unity, the graphics are very polished and look superb. Lots of colour, sparkles and stars, it’s like a 70′s disco on your Android device.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
Sadly the sound is a bit of a let down at the moment. The beginning of each level is marked by something that sounds like alien laser fire. It puts your eyes out if you have the volume up high.
