FeedR News Reader Android App is a really good RSS reader. The best feature is its ability to Search for RSS feeds. Therefore, you don’t have to know or remember some long drawn out RSS URLs. For example in FeedR, search android app reviews and AndroidTapp.com RSS feed pops up. FeedR includes all the goodies you’ll want from a reader such as adding & managing feeds, notification alerts, automatic updates, mark as favorite/read, show images, link to full article, plus more!

One thing I like is its progressive loading of content, which is great for user experience, meaning articles load really quickly. As you read and scroll, content is loading, so the user never knows this or have to wait on loading bars while content downloads. (The only way you know this is if you immediately open an unread article and quickly try to scroll to the end).

Additionally, FeedR can be used for podcasts. Since the app was reviewed a couple of new features were added: 1) Ability to Backup / Restore feed list to SD; 2) Background podcast downloading (on-the-spot streaming was already supported).

Update: Check out the latest version in Market. It now features WIDGETS and many improvements over the version reviewed here. Also a free limited demo version is available.
