Late last night I was fortunate enough to be presented with an indication that I had an update waiting for me on the market from Facebook. Behold the newest rollout of the Android app, Facebook v1.5.4 was launched onto the market merely hours ago. I couldn’t find anything that states exactly what bugs were “fixed”, however I’m happy to report that it properly runs on Cyanogenmod 7 (Android 2.3.3 – Gingerbread).
After searching through the forums, it seems that many other users who were running Gingerbread on their devices were also experience various Force Close issues that made the app almost impossible to use. After the last update broke Facebook for me, I’ve been using the Facebook website through my browser. I would receive FC’s on doing a Friend Search, viewing profiles, sending messages, just about anything!
