Facebook Messenger – Cool Instant Messenger, but apart from Main App… Why?

Facebook recently launched a new app, Facebook Messenger, for Android and iOS which is pretty slick for single or group chats with FB friends; and shines at aggregating several message threads. However, my biggest gripe is why this a separate app download rather than a new feature set added to the original app? :confused: While I scratch my head on this one you can download the app using convenient one-click tools below:
